However, the society has excellent social services, and there is a sense that powerful families are only powerful for a short period of time before they decline.<\/p>\n<p>One needs to understand that for their societies, many families are centuries or millennia old, at least in surname. They go through highs and lows. The wealth inequality rate is quite low, too. The wealthy only have 10x as much as the poorest.<\/p>\n<p><b>Thaukin\u1ecb ni s\u0117is kouria h\u00e5ge \u00e5 p\u0117 s\u00e5lotha sosejaluyio sejathopu helia i\u0107a dir\u00e5hi fepu.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><i>An earthquake does not care if it rumbles beneath the house of a great family or a humble one.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>The \u0117 is just to ensure that people pronounce the schwas at the ends of words; the \u00e5 is an \/<a title=\"Open back rounded vowel\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Open_back_rounded_vowel\">\u0252<\/a>\/.\u00a0Th and s are always voiceless \u00fe and s.<\/p>\n<p><b>Thaukin\u1ecb<\/b>\u00a0is a natural-gender noun that means\u00a0\u201cearthquake.\u201d It takes the pronoun\u00a0<b>p\u0117<\/b>\u00a0(given to nouns describing aspects of the natural world, Class N) and the reflexive N-class pronoun\u00a0<b>s\u0117is<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p><b>Akouriait<\/b>\u00a0is a complex Tveshi verb that technically means,\u00a0\u201cto fashion.\u201d Here, it is being used in the phrase\u00a0<b>s\u0117is kouria h\u00e5ge<\/b>, which means\u00a0\u201cfashions itself remorse.\u201d This is the way that emotions and states of being are assigned to a subject. To say that something\u00a0<i>is remorseful<\/i>,\u00a0<b>thaukin\u1ecb va h\u00e5gi<\/b>, would be extremely informal and impolite.<\/p>\n<p><b>Soseja<\/b>\u00a0is a compound word from\u00a0<b>so<\/b>\u00a0(house) and\u00a0<b>sejatho<\/b>\u00a0(family).
